Damage / Claims

We take extreme care to package all orders properly. Responsibility for safe delivery is assured by the carrier upon acceptance of shipments. If damages do occur, please report the details to the carrier immediately. Request that shipments be inspected by a carrier representative. Retain all containers and packing materials.

Returns

There is a deadline of 30 days following receipt of your order to return a product. No merchandise can be returned for credit or exchange without Geneq’s prior written authorization. Only merchandise in its original packaging and/or wrapping can be returned; such merchandise will be subject to an inspection and restocking fees will be charged. Shipping costs for the return must be paid in advance by the buyer.

Warranty

Elcometer gauges are covered by warranty for 12 months after date of delivery. Except for fair wear and tear, Elcometer warrants products against defects caused by faulty design, materials or workmanship. At the company’s discretion faulty gauges or probes will be replaced or repaired, free of charge, if a fault develops within the warranty period.

Most warranty claims occur within a few weeks of delivery of the gauge. The serial numbers associated with the gauges give an indication of the date when the gauge was manufactured and this will be the first date against which warranty will be judged. If the serial number does not confirm the customers claim for warranty, the second date referenced is that of the invoice when the gauge or probe was shipped.

If the gauge or probe was held in stock by the Distributor or Dealer the date of shipment to the customer will be used. Proof of this date may be requested and should be in the form of a copy of the invoice showing the serial number of the gauge or probe.
