Elcometer 266 DC Holiday Detector Probe Handles

$747.45 CAD$2,184.85 CAD

The Elcometer 266 revolutionizes high voltage DC testing of coatings porosity detection making it safer, easier and more reliable than ever before.

High voltage or holiday detection method is best for testing the porosity of protective coatings on pipelines, ballast tanks, or bridges

Use Elcometer 266 Holiday Detector to test porosity on coatings up to 7 mm (275 mils) thick. It is ideal for inspecting coatings on pipelines and other protective coatings. Featuring a built-in voltage calculator which will determine and set the correct test voltage based upon the test standard and the thickness of the coating being tested.

There are Dual Safety Switch handles available that automatically cut power to the probe should you lose grip of the handle to avoid accidental switch-on.

Operation safety

  • Handle features dual safety switches to avoid accidental turning on. It also has 2-stage safety switch so if you loose the grip on it, the instrument will automatically switch off.
  • Ideal for two handed use: can be gripped with 2 hands, specialised ribbing provides superior protection. Specifically designed to meet standard EN61010.
  • The tester emits a ticking noise to indicate voltage presence in the handle.
  • A loud alarm is produced when a spark is detected. Adjust the beep volume to ensure it’s audible – even in noisy environments.
